Stages of biofilms targeted via anti-biofilm agents among micro-organisms
We used CIRCOS plot for representing various stages targeted by anti-biofilm agents present in "aBiofilm" database. In this analyses we corrrelate three fields of database namely Organism targetted with anti-biofilm agents, stages of biofilm quenched and the group in which the targetted organism belonged.
CIRCOS plot divided in two parts i.e. left and right.Right most parts showed the organism reported in aBiofilm database that are targeted through anti-biofilm agents while leftmost part depicts the stages of the organism effected with anti-biofilm agents. The band color of right most part is depicted in five different colors viz. yellow (Fungus), purple (Gram-negative bacteria), black (Gram-positive bacteria), orange (Gram variable bacteria), and dark grey (mixed culture of bacteria and/or fungus). Whereas, leftmost part and rays (links) of circos is divided in five different colors according to the stages like light green (Pre-formation), blue (Adhesion), red (Formation), orange (Maturation), and green (Pre-formed).
