About Anti-EBV

The "Anti-EBV" webserver enables users to predict and identify inhibitors of the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). EBV, a member of the herpesvirus family, is associated with various diseases, including Hodgkin lymphoma, gastric carcinoma and several other malignancies. Despite extensive research efforts globally, EBV continues to pose significant health challenges due to its persistent nature and oncogenic potential.
EBV is a widespread pathogen, infecting a large proportion of the human population. The development of computational tools to predict effective inhibitors is crucial for advancing therapeutic strategies. By implementing machine learning techniques, our initiative aims to contribute to the design and identification of potent EBV inhibitors. “Anti-EBV” is the first prediction algorithm dedicated for identifying anti-EBV potential of any compound(s).
