About RhodoPred

RhodoPred algorithm is developed using Ion-pumping Type I microbial rhodopsins like Proton pumping actinorhodopsin, xanthorhodopsin, bacteriorhodopsin, proteorhodopsin, Chloride pumping Halorhodopsin. These were compared using Support vector machine (SVM) classifier. Amino acid (AAC), dipeptide composition (DPC) and Hybrid method (AAC+DPC) were used for model development to predict Ion Pumping microbial rhodopsins sequences in the whole genome sequence submitted in the NCBI Database. The model predicts the presence of bacteriorhodopsin like gene in Haloarcula argentinensis (PWS 51-1), Haloarcula rubripromontorii (PWS-83-3), Halomicrobium mukohataei (PWS-11-7).
